Somalia is located in eastern
Africa, bordering the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean. Between the
7th and 10th century, immigrant Arabs and Persians established trading
posts along Somalia's shoreline and so began Mogadishu’s (capital
and largest Somali city) existence as a trading station. ©
