Serving
as the capital of Northern Morocco, Tetouan is situated amidst beautiful
greenery. Founded around 1305, the town served as a base for operations
against Sebta, later serving as a lair for pirates. Spain eventually
destroyed Tetouan but it was re-populated by Moslems and Jews who
escaped Andalusia in the 16th century. © |
