Known as the Great Sphinx -- the first truly colossal royal sculpture in Egypt - this
great monument is a national symbol of Egypt, both ancient and modern.
It is believed that the workers of the 4th Dynasty King Khafre shaped
the stone into the lion and gave it their king's face more than 4,500
