The Pearl Monument stands
at the end of the Manama-Muharraq causeway and is one of Bahrain's
most recognizable symbols. Six dhow 'sails' float into the air, holding
in their midst a giant pearl. Beautifully-constructed, the Monument
reminds people of the importance of pearl and oyster during the glory
days of Bahrain.
